After careful consideration, and in coordination with state and county guidelines, the Clayton Business and Community Association has decided to cancel this year’s BBQ Cook Off and Oktoberfest. While this was not an easy decision, it was made with the safety of our volunteers and community in mind.
In 2019, the CBCA donated $150,584 back to the Clayton community with profits from CBCA events. These donations help many causes and organizations in our community. Our children and schools are the greatest benefactors of money raised at our events. Due to the unfortunate consequences created by the COVID-19 pandemic, CBCA will be unable to consider any donation requests for 2020.
In an effort to help our local businesses and those in need the CBCA, spearheaded by our bocce committee, has organized a donation program that purchases gift certificates from local businesses that are given to people in need, with the assistance of the Monument Crisis Center in Concord. If you would like to donate to this cause please click this link for more information.
We wish everyone health and safety in these times and we look forward to being able to celebrate when this is all over. Until then stay well!
Sincerely,
The CBCA Board of Directors
